Masaki Yamamoto was born in 1989 in Hyogo Prefecture. He graduated from the Japan Institute of Photography and Film in 2012. In 2015, The Yamamoto Family was exhibited in Shinjuku and at the Osaka Nikon Salon Juna21, and received the Miki Jun Award. In the following year, the series I’m Home received the Editor’s Award at The Editor’s Photo Award ZOOMS JAPAN 2016. His work is included in the collections of the Maison européenne de la photographie. A book of photographs, entitled Guts, based on the theme of the Yamamoto family, was published by Zen Foto in September 2017. At Home is Masaki Yamamoto’s first solo exhibition outside Japan.
