This project is about an invisible light, from which I was often able to recall a series of images – let’s call them worlds – where a multitude of voices could be heard. Voices too loud to be preserved in the mind and too volatile to be apprehended. Voices that can’t simply be silenced. Like demons, they belong to nowhere and tell of the unknown.
Imagine you never knew the colour of the sky, or never saw trees and light. Let these worlds pass through your eyes unconsciously.

The photographs were captured on Ilford HP5 400 and Foma 400 BW films and printed on Foma 133 MG Classic silver gelatin paper.
The colours on these BW media were achieved by experimenting with different processes, including the combination of lith chemicals mixed with other household products over a period of two weeks. More than 250 prints were made, of which almost 100 were lost due to extreme development times and stop baths that irreversibly damaged the gelatin layer.
The majority of the prints were exposed to daylight (lith requiring long exposure times) and were not fixed to preserve the richness of the colours. For this reason, they can no longer be exposed to light and can only be seen through their digital reproduction. The originals can be viewed under a non-harmful light, in a darkroom available during the event.
